a silly muse

I thought, since Valentine’s Day is next week, it’d be fun to do a couple of outfits revolving around love and hearts, and not an obnoxious shade of pinkish-red.

This would be a nice, casual day time outfit to wear at work or running errands. I saw the sweater while browsing Pinterest and I immediately fell in love with it. The flats (from Anthropologie) have little Eiffel Towers on them!

A little black dress would come in handy if you were to find yourself going on a date with your someone special. Pair with a smaller red clutch and some heels, you’re set to go! Also, for some corniness - a key pendant from Tiffany’s (there are less expensive silver ones, too).

I’m not sure about you all, but I’m definitely ready for my spring wardrobe. Brighter colors, less layers, more skirts/dresses. The bright plaid shirt and bucket bag lend for some color, while the thicker/longer skirt and tights allow for warmth.

I really love blues and camels, especially together. Plus these two compliment my overly pale Irish skin, blue eyes, and reddish/blonde hair. This is a very Kelly outfit. I want to wear it now, but have you any idea how difficult it is to find a skirt like this? It’s actually quite annoying. If I do come across one, it’s ridiculously expensive. I also like these heels, a tad too high, but the color would go nicely with most items in my closet. And could you imagine having pretty blue nails to match!?

I love this cute/pretty/sexy outfit. Perfect for a girls night out, don’t you think? I love the subtle hints of pink with this basic black dress and shoes combo. Feminine and chic!

I love long summer dresses. I especially love long summer dresses that can be dressed up or down, such as this lovely number from Dorothy Perkins. You could wear it to the beach with a big floppy hate, straw tote, and comfy sandals or wear it to a garden party and dress it up with pretty hair pins, a snazzy clutch and some fancy shoes!

Well, my Los Angeles trip is still roughly 25 days away, but that has not stopped me from planning my wardrobe for that week! Bring on the tanks, shorts, big floppy hats, sunglasses, beach totes and summer dresses! All the outfits can be mixed and transition easily from suntanning on the beach to strolling around the shops and sipping some coffee/tea, to giving my friend (who is going with me) some sightseeing tours, to drinking wine.

Obviously I’ll be bringing a warmer garment, in case there are chills in the air. My color palette seems rather neutral here, which is similar to what currently resides in my closet. I like being able to mix and match for optimum wear.
