Weekly Adorations: 2.17.2012

It’s BIRTHDAY WEEKEND! I will be 27 on Sunday! I’m looking forward to pretty strawberry cupcakes and lobster pie, with a viewing of Singin’ in the Rain on the side. Perhaps I will dress up Penny & Harvey in cute outfits. I hope everyone else has a magnificent weekend (long for some!).

- Mini monogram cake.

- It would be fun to create a map banner of places I’ve been.

- Cucumber, avocado, and turkey rolls.

- Turn your mason jar into a travel mug!

- I like to pretend this is me. Typing away and sipping tea in pretty outfits everyday.

- Yum, strawberry sandwiches.

- Sew yourself a basket!

Weekly Adorations: 2.10.2012

Happy Friday, friends! I hope everyone has had a lovely week so far. I’ve been up to my neck in schoolwork, but alas, it’s the last semester! The last semester is always the worst it seems.

PS. Isn’t the print above absolutely adorable?! It’s by artist Emma Block. Pink cakes, parisian, and a dachshund?! Pretty perfect if you ask me!

- Be happy, make others happy.

- Umbrellas.

- I just want a hug.

- I wish I saw this pretty locket keychain before I created my birthday wish-list.

- Distance doesn’t matter when you love someone.

- It was meant to be.

- Pretty in pink and polka dots (via Ruche).

Weekly Adorations: 12.2.11

Well, happy December! I’m so excited for this weekend (not really)! Two weeks left of the semester = no time for fun. Other than my normal weekend tea visit with Emily, I’ll be closing myself up in my house working studiously away on paper writings and readings. One paper is about Marshall McLuhan, Videodrome, and Cronenberg and the other is on Vertigo and a subject I haven’t thought of yet. Laura Mulvey? Too easy. Hitch’s romantic irony perhaps? Also easy, but fun. Ah, decisions. At least I have the McLuhan one figured out. That was the difficult one.

And for the adorations!

- I think I need this bikini top for when I move back to Los Angeles.

- DIY votives using mason jars and fabric.

- colorful SmartWool boot socks.

- Construction of Mt. Rushmore (I’m so excited to see it for real next year).

- November 29 marked the 25th anniversary of Cary Grants death. Such a sad loss for the world of cinema.

- I want this spiral staircase to be in my future home.

- Want a deck of awesome cards? I’d go for one of these: Helveticards, Tim Burton Playing Cards, or Monochromatic Deck of Cards.

Christmas Wishlist

This is a “Weekly Adorations: End of the Year Extravaganza” post. Read: The items listed below are my absolute favorite things that I have come across throughout the year. So they are worthy of being included into a Christmas wishlist.

wooden tea clock | drop earrings* | bow snow cap* | hugs print | heart print | pen case | calling London bracelet* | mini quilts book | Moguls & Movie Stars DVD | herb seed bombs | dream in color journal

*Note: The Kate Spade items are guilty pleasures. If someone actually bought them for me, I’ll probably be annoyed you spent that much money.

Weekly Adorations 11.4.11

This week went by relatively quickly, if I do say so myself. The only plans I’ve got for this weekend is to do a lot of homework (I mean, a lot), and have tea time with my dearest friend, Emily. Also, make cheesecake for my pretty mum since it was her birthday yesterday. I shall also fit in an abundant amount of snuggle time with my puppies. Have a happy happy weekend!

- It would be nice to have a stack of these dachshund cards in my stationery drawer.

- Ooooh, perfect New Year’s Eve nails!

- This <3 (heart) ring is so adorable.

- I bet Penny and Harvey would love to have a cabin all to themselves!

- I am deeply infatuated with this winter hat.

- Pumpkin spice donuts!!! These are definitely on the ‘to-make’ list.

- I absolutely adore the charm necklace collection from Anthropologie. Pretty pearl necklace with a selection of wooden letters, metal hearts, stones, and even some feathers!

Weekly Adorations 10.28.11

Hello Lovely Readers! Happy Friday! Happy day of freezing cold (sarcasm). I woke up this morning to find a soft layer of snow covering the grass and my car. It’s not even November yet! At least this time next year I’ll be back in sunny California and no longer shall I worry about cold temperatures and this white crap snow. Although, I have to admit, it was a tiny bit pretty with the trees still full with fall foliage. Pretty for five minutes, then I was over it.

- I love love love this infinity bracelet.

- Watch post-its!!

- Easy directions for DIY curls.

- These are the most gorgeous earrings in all the world.

- Tortilla and black bean pie? Sounds pretty delicious to me!

- Pretty please, may I have a minty kitchen?

-Dreaming about being in places like this make the winter blues not so terrible.

Weekly Adorations: 9.2.11

Happy weekend lovely readers. Happy September! I really can’t believe it’s September already. This year just disappeared with a snap of my fingers. I swear yesterday was New Years Day.

I’m very excited to be heading down to NYC this weekend for my very dear friends bachelorette party! We get to have a fun night on the town while looking our prettiest! I’m so excited for Steph, and I’m so so so happy about her upcoming nuptials. So happy, I want to jump with glee like Fred & Rita (photo above).

Heart maps!

- This is probably the most adorable picnic basket I’ve every seen.

- Cute his & hers mugs.

- Even though I don’t have a landline, I still want this pretty yellow rotary phone.

- I would like to eat about a dozen of these cookie cupcakes (with raspberry frosting!).

- Pretty necklaces with cute charms and tassels!? Win win.

Weekly Adorations 6.10.11

Happy Friday! All I’ve got planned for the weekend is lots of hang out time with the pups, coffee sipping with a school friend, and obviously some movie watching (I suppose I could partake in some cleaning…). I shall be dreaming of palm trees, the ocean, and fresh strawberries/cherries in between activities (or during). I also promise that I will post my Los Angeles recap next Monday! I’ve just got to sort out some of my photos for you, and remember everything I did.

Train your dog with an app.

- I just discovered this 30 Day Photo Challenge on Flickr. I think I would love to do something like this for the blog!

- These locket perfumes would be spectacular to have for on the go.

- How to clean desk clutter in 5 minutes.

- Do you need a social media detox?

- I’m very much in love with my brand new Nike ‘Free Run 2’ sneakers.

- I have fallen in love with Vetted, a pretty online boutique of wonderful stationery and miscellaneous items. Found via Creature Comforts

Weekly Adorations 5.6.11

Weekly adorations is back! I’m happy to report that I’ll be (almost) back to normal postings. Some things have changed, and I’ll be sure to fill you in on updates. Thank you for sticking around, lovely readers!

What have you got planned for this weekend? I won’t be seeing my mum for Mother’s Day, but after she visited me for my birthday, I sent her back with her wrapped present, and I’m sure she’s been impatiently waiting to open it. I’ll be in New Hampshire this weekend to shop for bridesmaid dresses with Steph and her other bridesmaids/Maid of Honor, so that will bound to be exciting!

- In the mood for a DIY? Try this printable paper button embellishment craft.

- In need of some simple, but beautifully created jewelry? Look here.

- I’m loving these simple (and very inexpensive) ways of organizing cables with toilet paper rolls and bread tags.

- What an awesome bunk room!

- Beautiful wrapping paper alert, by mae.

- I wish I could grow a lilac tree in my apartment, but since that’s rather not possible, I’ll gaze through all these pretty flickr images.

- I need long hair so I can do this.
